FAQs
Can I work during treatment?
Yes, most all of our patients work while in treatment. Our flexible programming accommodates a variety of work schedules, allowing you to keep your job while learning the tools to stay sober.
What time of day do you schedule programming? How often will I have to come?
We have both day and evening treatment options. Most patients are at our facility three to four days a week.
Will my family be involved in my treatment? If so, how?
Yes. We believe that addiction and mental health issues are a family illness. We find that it is essential for the family system to be involved in order to achieve a full recovery. Foundations Atlanta offers a Family Night once a month as well as the availability of therapy sessions with you and your family.
Does your outpatient program involve medication?
Foundations Atlanta believes in a recovery program of abstinence. However, we are a dual diagnosis program and if you are in need of psychiatric or medically prescribed medication we want to continue that plan of recovery. The staff at Foundations Atlanta will always work with you to find medications that do not have addiction potential.
Do you offer detoxification services?
Yes. Our addiction medicine physicians are able to provide ambulatory detox for most patients.
Do I have to complete a residential or inpatient treatment program before coming to your program?
No. Although difficult, sobriety can be achieved through outpatient services when someone seeks help in the early stages of addiction.
Is Foundations Atlanta a licensed treatment facility? Are your therapists licensed?
Yes. Foundations Atlanta is licensed by the State of Georgia. All of our therapists are masters-level trained and licensed.
What if I live outside of the Atlanta area, but want to participate in your outpatient program?
Atlanta has several excellent transitional living programs that complement our treatment modalities. Our staff can assist in placing you in one of these programs while you are in Atlanta for treatment at Foundations.
Is Foundations Atlanta familiar with the court system? Will you work with my lawyer or probation officer?
Yes. We have dedicated staff on site to help you effectively communicate treatment status and updates to your lawyer or probation officer. We can also provide letters of advocacy for patients who are actively involved in our program.
What are the fees associated with your program?
Fees are determined by the level of services appropriate for each patient admitted for outpatient services and may vary depending on the individual's specific treatment needs. Please call us to schedule an initial consultation so that we may more accurately review our fee schedule with you.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. Payment is expected on admission, after which we will file your insurance for you and refund the difference of any payment from your insurance company. Your treatment will be billed under any "out of network" benefits you may have.
Do you offer any financing options?
Yes. Foundations Atlanta works with Serenity Loans, who specialize in behavioral health financing. Please visit www.serenityloans.com for more information.
