Services
Patients who come to our facility are seeking support to continue in their recovery. Some are coming right out of a residential stay while some come to face their disease before it consumes their life. In either case, we at La Paloma make sure we are able to accommodate our patient's needs. Whether they are about to face court sentencing or still need the structure of a treatment facility but with the freedom of the outside world, we are able to continue guiding them into recovery.
To achieve a successful recovery, our services are built around the individual's real life so that the patient can continue to work and spend time with their families while also getting help for their addictions. These services include:
ASSESSMENTS and REFERRAL
Upon arrival at La Paloma, clients go through an evaluation program to determine the stage of recovery and requirements of the individual.
This five-day evaluation program is designed for individuals and organizations requiring an extensive evaluation and assessment report to determine the specific needs and recommendations surrounding the individual's co-occurring disorder.
The procedure involves:
- Chemical dependency history and assessment
- Medical assessment
- Other biopsychosocial assessments
- Assessments delivered to the referring agency
Often, individuals will begin a medically managed detoxification regimen simultaneously along with the assessment. Once these steps are taken, the individual will go on to transition to the Residential or Outpatient programs.
We do all we can to ensure needs are met and comfort is provided as soon as you or your loved one enters our program.
PARTIAL HOSPITALIZATION (PHP)
This level of service is often used as a step-down from Residential, providing ongoing therapeutic intensity and structure for continued recovery. At other times, partial hospitalization may be an alternative to residential care, if the client’s ability to manage day to day activities is intact. PHP meets 5 hours per day for up to 5 days per week. The level of involvement is determined by the individual therapist in cooperation with the patient. Participation in PHP allows an individual to receive intensive treatment during the day, and practice recovery skills while living at home.
Service at the partial level of care includes:
- Individual Therapy
- Group Therapy
- Educational Groups
- Family Therapy
- Medication Management where required
- Relapse Prevention and Life Skills Groups
- 12-Step Recovery
- Specialty treatment for psychological trauma and other issues as needed
PHP meets for 6 hours a day up to 5 days per week.
INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT (IOP)
This level of service offers intensive and integrated care 3 hours per day for up to 5 days per week. Like PHP, Intensive Outpatient can provide a continuum of care following a Residential program, or, may be indicated for those able to benefit from a less restrictive level of care. Offered during both day and evening hours, participation in IOP allows an individual the flexibility to receive intensive treatment while practicing recovery skills at both home and at work.
Services at the IOP level of care include:
- Individual Therapy
- Group Therapy
- Educational Groups
- Family Therapy
- Relapse Prevention and Life Skills Groups
- 12-Step Recovery
