FAQs

Financing Options with Serenity Loans
Who qualifies for Care Management?
People who qualify for Care Management come from a wide variety of situations. Some come straight out of residential care seeking help assimilating back into real life. Others come after multiple residential visits that did not succeed. Other clients come from the community at large, not being able to enter a residential treatment for certain reasons.

How often can my client/loved one meet with a counselor?
The process will look different as each case is completely individualized. Typically, clients will begin meeting with a counselor daily. As they progress through the recovery process these meetings will lessen to three times a week and then once a week.

What is a Sober Companion?
A Sober Companion is someone who will meet with clients who need an intensive one-on-one assistance in real-life. Meetings with Sober Companions can happen anywhere from the client's home, workplace or favorite neighborhood coffee shop.

Will the client's family be involved in this process? If so, how?
Absolutely. We believe that addiction and mental health issues are a family illness. We find that it is mandatory for the family system to be involved in order to achieve a full recovery. But it's not just the immediate family members. We also encourage friends, business partners and anyone else close the client.

What is the duration for Care Management?
The Care Management process usually lasts for one year. But as every case is different, the duration of the process will vary.

Does this process involve medication?
Yes, if the client is in need of psychiatric or medically prescribed medication we believe in continuing that plan of recovery.
